This charter applies to all students enrolled on a Fortray programme, traineeship, bootcamp, or certification pathway. It serves as a guide to ensure a productive, respectful, and successful learning experience.
1. Student Rights
Students enrolled with Fortray have the right to:
- Quality Learning Experience: Access high-quality training materials, learning platforms, and resources designed to support their learning and career development.
- Support Services: Receive guidance and support from tutors, mentors, career specialists, and student support teams throughout their programme.
- Fair Treatment: Be treated fairly, professionally, and with respect in an inclusive environment that is free from discrimination, bullying, harassment, or victimisation.
- Privacy and Data Protection: Have their personal information processed securely and in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and Fortray's Privacy Policy.
- Feedback and Guidance: Receive timely and constructive feedback on assessments, portfolio work, mock interviews, CV reviews, and career preparation activities.
- Access to Learning Resources: Access programme materials, online learning platforms, and related resources throughout the agreed enrolment period.
- Complaints and Dispute Resolution: Raise concerns, complaints, or disputes through Fortray's support channels and have them reviewed fairly and appropriately.
2. Student Responsibilities
Students enrolled with Fortray are responsible for:
Active Participation
Students must:
- Engage actively with programme content and learning activities.
- Complete assigned coursework, assessments, projects, and examinations.
- Attend scheduled meetings with mentors, tutors, career specialists, and placement teams where required.
- Respond to communications from Fortray within reasonable timeframes.
Time Management
Students must:
- Plan and manage their studies effectively.
- Complete programme requirements within the specified enrolment period.
- Take responsibility for monitoring their own progress and meeting required deadlines.
- Understand that programme pauses do not extend the overall enrolment period unless expressly approved by Fortray.
Professional Communication
Students must:
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with mentors, tutors, career specialists, student support teams, employers, and fellow learners.
- Refrain from abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate behaviour.
- Inform Fortray promptly of any circumstances that may affect their ability to participate in or complete their studies.
Academic Integrity
Students must:
- Submit work that is their own and properly reference any external sources used.
- Avoid plagiarism, cheating, collusion, or any other form of academic misconduct.
- Comply with examination rules and the requirements of relevant certification providers.
Technical Readiness
Students must:
- Maintain access to a suitable computer, required software, and a reliable internet connection.
- Possess the basic digital skills necessary to use learning platforms and online tools effectively.
- Ensure that their equipment meets the technical requirements of their programme.
Financial Responsibilities
Students must:
- Keep all programme payments up to date.
- Adhere to agreed payment plans and financing arrangements.
- Contact Fortray promptly if they experience financial difficulties that may affect their ability to meet payment obligations.
Compliance with Policies
Students must:
- Comply with all Fortray policies, programme rules, learning platform requirements, and examination regulations.
- Protect their login credentials and maintain the security of their accounts.
- Respect intellectual property rights and not copy, distribute, reproduce, or share programme materials without prior written permission from Fortray.
3. Code of Conduct
All students are expected to:
- Treat others with dignity, courtesy, and respect.
- Contribute positively to the learning environment.
- Refrain from harassment, bullying, discrimination, victimisation, or disruptive behaviour.
- Demonstrate honesty, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions and activities.
Failure to meet these expectations may result in warnings, suspension of services, removal from programmes, loss of access to learning resources, withdrawal of career support services, or ineligibility for refund schemes, where applicable.
4. Student Support and Accessibility
Fortray is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and accessible learning environment in which all students have the opportunity to succeed.
Reasonable Adjustments and Learning Support
Students who have a disability, health condition, neurodiverse condition, learning difficulty, or any other additional learning need may be eligible for reasonable adjustments to support their participation and achievement.

They further agree to comply with all applicable Fortray policies, terms and conditions, and programme requirements.
